When intraocular melanoma grows into the orbit there is no effective treatment. This paper reports on success in treating this with intraarterial chemotherapy (Melphalan).


Intraarterial chemotherapy for retinoblastoma was introduced by Dr. Abramson in 2006 and the research supported by the Fund. This paper updates the world community ion the latest developments in this field.


Systemic chemotherapy usually causes growth retardation in children. This paper demonstrated that intraarterial chemotherapy, developed by funding from the Fund, has no effect on children’s growth.
